FISHING PONDS APPROVED
IN THE PEAK DISTRICT
NATIONAL PARK
Wharfe Rural Planning secured retrospective planning permission for two new fishing ponds for personal recreational use in the Peak District National Park.
We were contacted after the ponds had been dug and the Planning Authority were considering enforcement action. A carefully designed landscaping scheme and some modifications to the design helped overcome initial concerns and the ponds have now been completed and retained for personal use.
The Peak District has the highest level of landscape protection. Permission has been secured for two fishing ponds for personal recreational use on agricultural land. The scheme included significant new landscaping and was subject to an ecological condition.
