In-house design in a protected landscape

We are particularly proud of this entirely bespoke accommodation, created by our in-house design consultant, Sam King, as the ideal home for our clients.

Their farm, part of a protected landscape in a stunning area of the Peak District National Park, had been the centre of their family home for over 40 years.

Now, with their children grown, they wanted to downsize but still stay on the farm, taking advantage of the idyllic location while remaining close to family and friends.

Working closely with the local Council, we secured permission for a new-build annexe, beautifully and carefully constructed from sandstone sourced from a local quarry. Now completed, it is entirely in keeping with the existing site buildings, sitting in its surroundings as if it has always been there and providing the perfect home for the couple to begin the next chapter of their lives.

There was even a bonus for the Council as the scheme included the removal of two modern agricultural sheds which were something of a blot on the landscape.
