Gemma Sharrock - executive assistant

I have over 25 years of experience as a Rural Practice Chartered Surveyor. My career began in traditional surveying, but I quickly moved into the world of rural planning. I collaborate closely with landowners and local authorities and enjoy navigating the intricate web of regulations and policies that govern rural development.

I believe that every planning application is more than just paperwork; it’s a reflection of someone’s dreams, aspirations, and often their livelihoods. I’ve worked on a range of diverse projects from the conversion of historic farm buildings and the expansion of farming businesses, all the way through to renewable energy installations.

The synergy between my traditional surveying roots and my rural planning skills has allowed me to bridge the gap between landowners and planning authorities. I can advocate for responsible and sustainable land use practices, all the while honouring the personal stories that drive these projects.

Outside of work, I enjoy cycling – often taking part in long distance bike rides and spending time outdoors with my family.
