New Farmer…New Farm

This development is the perfect example of a new entrant to farming creating a successful new business, having bought a 10 acre Greenfield site which had previously been in equestrian use.

The only existing buildings were a few small stables, so we worked together to develop the layout for a new farm designed to facilitate the rearing of pigs on a contract arrangement.

Initially we secured planning permission for a straw store, two large buildings to house the pigs and a temporary agricultural worker’s dwelling, all served by a large new entrance for HGV access.

Since then, we’ve added a further straw store as well as a grain store, and gained permission for a permanent dwelling for the farm manager.
